Our History

Galveston County Church was established when two existing sister churches, First Baptist Church Hitchcock (1945) and Galveston Church (2018) merged together by covenant in November 2020. Both before and after the church merger our convictions have remained Baptist in their distinctives. We are in friendly cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention. We remain an autonomous local church under the authority of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
