Staff Bios

Taylor was born and raised in Lexington, KY.  He became a Christian in 2001 immediately upon reading James 2:19, which awakened his need for faith in Jesus Christ.  Taylor is husband to Kelsey and father to Eleanor, Alice and Peter.  The Wehrle family relocated from Austin, TX to Galveston County in December 2021.  Taylor has served on staff in local church ministry since 2009.  Taylor completed his Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky in 2010.  During seminary training, he completed a pastoral residency in Washington DC at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in 2013. He completed his M.Div from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015. Taylor enjoys family time, an eclectic variety of music, military wristwatch design, books, lacing up his Nike Free's for a run, and sports of all kinds.
